TEN YEARS OF CELEBRATION The 10th
Annual Mint Condition Gala in support of the
Mint Museum of Craft + Design was held on Saturday, March 12, 2011. The
Gala was the culmination of a weekend of activities, including a
Contemporary British Ceramics Symposium, home tour, Friday evening
reception and the Gala itself. The
Founders' Circle, the national support affiliate of the Mint Museum of
Craft + Design, planned
this annual event. The Gala was held in the new Mint Museum Uptown at
Levine Center for the Arts located at 500 South Tryon
Street. As always, the main
objective was an event focused on fundraising; however, fundraising may
be the objective, but the "FUN" was included throughout. We
continued the tradition of both live and silent auctions, which
featured fabulous works of art created
by internationally acclaimed artists from here and abroad.
